The game launched globally on the App Store, Google Play, and Google Play Games for PC, and it brought a surprising amount of that big PC energy to a pocket-sized battlefield.

Do I miss my PC? Sometimes. My graphics card definitely misses me. But do I enjoy sneaking through Operations while pretending to be productive at work? Absolutely.

What Actually Launched

Delta Force Mobile didn’t just port everything over. It launched with two modes instead of the PC version’s three: Warfare and Operations. If you were hoping for the Black Hawk campaign on your phone, I have bad news — as of early 2026, the mobile version still hasn’t added it. Maybe the devs are letting us marinate in the chaos first.

Operations, on the other hand, is the extraction mode. You drop in, grab loot, complete objectives, fight enemies, and then pray you reach the extraction zone before someone turns your backpack into a participation trophy. It plays like other extraction shooters — think Escape from Tarkov or Hunt: Showdown, but with a mobile-friendly flow. You still get that glorious stress of losing everything when you die. Fun? Yes. Relaxing? Absolutely not.

If you pre-registered before launch, you probably snagged some weapon skins, armor skins, and nameplates. Did I pre-register? Of course I did. Do I still use the default skin because I have terrible taste? Maybe.

Does It Hold Up in 2026?

Short answer: yes, if you enjoy tactical chaos on a smaller screen. The PC version made a lot of noise when it dropped, and on Steam it was pulling in over 88,000 concurrent players at one point. That momentum clearly helped the mobile release. The gunplay feels punchy, the maps have enough variety to keep things interesting, and the free-to-play structure hasn’t completely ruined my life yet.

Is it perfect? No. Mobile controls are still mobile controls, and there are moments when I channel my inner potato during a firefight. But the game gives you enough options to tweak your layout, and once you find a rhythm, it’s hard to put down.

My advice? If you haven’t tried it yet, download it on whatever device you have. If you’re a PC player, the Google Play Games version is a neat option for a lighter session.
